Most City facilities closed June 19 for Juneteenth

AUBURN, Ala.- Most City facilities will be closed Thursday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Downtown parking will be free with the exception of the Wright Street Parking Deck.

Public Safety services will remain on their regular schedules. Thursday garbage, trash and recycling pickup routes will be delayed by one day.

While the Auburn Public Library will be closed, book drops will remain open, and the online collection of e-books, audiobooks and digital magazines are always available.

All Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed except for the Frank Brown Recreation Center (open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.), the Lake Wilmore Recreation Center and Pool (open 6 a.m.-6 p.m.), the Samford Pool (open for Lap Swim from 5:30-7 a.m. and 5-8 p.m.; Rec Swim from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and the Yarbrough Tennis Center (open 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m.). All City of Auburn parks, playgrounds and cemeteries will be open from sunrise to sunset.
